Pop/R&B singer/evangelist born in Tulsa and raised in Shreveport, LA. She played opening dates with Aretha Franklin, B.B. King and Stevie Wonder while in high school. She toured with the Broadway show HAIR at the age of 17. In 1989 she began recording CHristian music. Baylor toured and/or recorded with Captain & Tennille, Chakra Khan and Les McCann. In 1993 Baylor was ordained as a minister in LA's Crenshaw Christian Center. In 1994 she received an honory doctorate in Sacred Music from Friends International Christian University.
