About Gerry Limpic

Gerry Limpic

Gerry is best known for his work with Mark Rayburn in Limpic & Rayburn.

Gerry Limpic and Mark Rayburn were a part of the Southern California "Jesus Movement" in the early 70s, They met when Gerry and his brother Ted were in a San Diego group called The Random Sample, who released a self-titled Lp in 1972. When The Random Sample fell apart, they hooked up with fellow Jesus Music follower Dave Pollard, a San Diego area recording engineer and bassist, for a self-released Christian Lp of folk-rock Gerry Limpic & Mark Rayburn. With Dave Pollard issued in 1976. The Lp quickly got picked up by Waco, Texas' Word Records for national distribution on the Myrrh imprint. They recorded one other Lp, "Caught In The Crossfire", in 1978 before disbanding to work as session musicians in other Christian bands. Gerry would go to record one solo album, Gentle Touch in 1979.
