Book Spotlight: "We

Family is at the core of everything CAIN does. Adult siblings Taylor, Madison and Logan Cain might now have families of their own, but the foundation for marriage and parenting was laid for them years ago by their parents, Charley and Shari Cain. It’s this multigenerational legacy that CAIN builds on in their new book, “We’re So Blessed: Forty Days of Devotions and Activities for the Whole Family.”

Just like their music is intended for families to enjoy together, the trio also hopes this devotional can be savored by every member of the family — from the patriarch, down to the newest addition.

“We were the direct beneficiaries of God-centered family time, and now — as we’ve grown older, gotten married, and have had children of our own — we feel the challenge of establishing God as the head of our own homes. We feel the challenge of quieting the discord of this world and creating a home for our children to grow, not only in stature, but in spirit and in truth. We want to cultivate the same deep connections with our growing families that our parents so thoughtfully cultivated with us. That challenge led us to the creation of this family devotional,” CAIN collectively shares in the book’s introduction. “Our prayer is that through these daily readings both our own families and yours can glean from God’s Word together, notice the blessings of God together, and experience memorable moments and conversations together.”

That’s exactly what the Alabama natives do throughout “We’re So Blessed,” the followup to their first children’s book, “I’m So Blessed.” Both titles offer a nod to their popular song.

Although gratitude is a sentiment that’s woven throughout “We’re So Blessed,” it’s not the central theme. Instead, the siblings’ personal stories take center stage. Taylor, Madison and Logan, along with Madison’s husband, Jared, take turns sharing anecdotes about one another. From the sweet to the silly, the family divulges the one ice cream topping their dad always buys at the grocery store and the nightly call they receive from their mom after each concert. They detail stories from their childhood, revealing their individual personalities, their most treasured Christmas traditions and their favorite memories.

In addition, the chart-topping group remembers the physically exhausting 24 hours spent hosting the K-LOVE Fan Awards and headlining the after party in 2023. They recall writing their first Christian song after an unsuccessful attempt at making country music left them weary and unfulfilled. They talk about their kids — they have six children between them — and what becoming a parent has taught them. They also share meaningful stories about their spouses, including how Logan’s wife, Emily, found the Lord after years of alcohol use; how Taylor’s husband, Steven, overcame numerous hurdles to play Major League Baseball; and how Madison’s husband, Jared, solidified his relationship with Jesus at a church camp small group led by Madison’s dad.

From backyard treasure hunts to living room worship nights to Gold-certified singles, the preacher’s kids never forget where they came from. They attribute so much of who they are to their parents and to the steady, grounded home life they’ve created with their respective spouses and children.

While storytelling is the obvious highlight of “We’re So Blessed,” each vignette comes with its own takeaway, applicable Scripture verses, discussion questions, an imaginative activity meant for the whole family and room for journaling.

“We’re So Blessed” provides a creative resource for daily devotional time and offers the perfect excuse to unite the whole family around a moment of reflection, prayer and Scripture. Parents and kids alike will love the fun activations, clever games and trust-building exercises, as well as the chance to get to know the band behind hits like “Rise Up (Lazarus),” “Friend in Jesus,” and of course, “I’m So Blessed.” More importantly, Taylor, Madison and Logan hope their new book allows readers the opportunity to get to know Jesus better. As the K-LOVE Fan Award-winning outfit can attest, God loves families, and He’s extremely invested in being a part of every detail of our lives.

In “We’re So Blessed,” CAIN helps fans know they have a loving Heavenly Father ordering their steps, meeting their needs and helping them become everything He intended them to be.

Fans can catch the color-coordinating siblings on TobyMac’s “Hits Deep Tour” through March followed by their headlining “Jesus Music Tour” kicking off Apr. 24, 2025, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
